I always think that Morioka city has a classic vibe, the buildings and surroundings seem like the city is still stuck in the 60s. I mean, look at the yellow-painted building of Morioka Station. How brave do you need to be to choose to paint your building with this colour? But I like it here every time I visit. I feel more at ease when I’m here — the city has a great balance of modern living and nature, and people walk at a slower pace here. You kinda have to — Mount Iwate is too big for you not to notice and admire 1.
