Hirosaki may be famous throughout Japan for its apples, but the town has so much more to offer. I’m in love with how its rich heritage has been carefully preserved, from the castle and well-maintained samurai streets, to the surrounding outstanding nature, with, of course, the breathtaking views of Mount Iwaki - which seem to watch over the town from every corner 1. I can’t help but wonder how this town looks in other seasons, so I might need to visit again three more times.
